Synopsis
Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? II is the 2019 second season of the fantasy action anime. It has 12 episodes and was made by the studio J.C.Staff, based on the light novels by Fujino Omori. It picks up after the events of the first season.
In the city of Orario, gods live among people and lead groups of adventurers called Familias. The adventurers go into a huge underground maze called the Dungeon to fight monsters. Bell Cranel is a young adventurer and the leader of the Hestia Familia. He has become famous for growing stronger faster than anyone else.
Bell now goes into the Dungeon with a small party of friends, including the support girl Lili, the blacksmith Welf and the swordswoman Mikoto. His Familia is still small and poor compared to others.
One night, Bell and Hestia go to a party held by the god Apollo. Apollo has taken a strong interest in Bell, and he wants Bell to join his own Familia. When Bell refuses, Apollo and his followers start to cause trouble for him. Soon, Apollo declares a War Game, a formal battle between two Familias. The winner can take what they want from the loser.
The Hestia Familia must find a way to win against a much larger group. Later in the season, Bell also meets Haruhime, a fox girl who is trapped in a hard life and needs help. The season follows Bell and his friends as they fight to protect their Familia.
