Synopsis
Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? III is the third season of the fantasy adventure anime DanMachi. It aired in 2020 with 12 episodes and was made by J.C.Staff. It is based on the light novel series by Fujino Omori. The story is set in Orario, a city built above a huge Dungeon full of monsters. Gods live in the city and give their powers to adventurers in groups called Familias.
Bell Cranel is a young adventurer in the small Hestia Familia. His group is growing, and he wants to become strong enough to stand next to the swordswoman Ais Wallenstein.
On a trip into the Dungeon, Bell and his friends find something strange. A young girl with blue skin, scales and a red gem on her forehead is hiding alone. She is a monster called a vouivre, but she is scared and hurt, and she can learn human words. Bell cannot bring himself to kill her. He hides her and takes her back to the Hestia Familia home, and they name her Wiene.
In Orario, everyone believes all monsters are enemies. If people find out that Bell is keeping a monster, the whole Familia could be in serious danger. His friends do not agree on what to do.
Soon Bell learns that Wiene may not be the only monster who can think and feel like a person. The season follows him as he tries to protect her in a city that fears her.
