Synopsis
Kaguya-sama: Love is War? is the 2020 second season of the romantic comedy anime. It has 12 episodes and was made by A-1 Pictures, based on the manga by Aka Akasaka. It picks up soon after the first season, back at the elite Shuchiin Academy.
Miyuki Shirogane is the student council president, and Kaguya Shinomiya is the vice president. They clearly have feelings for each other. The problem is that both of them are far too proud to say it first. Each one still thinks the person who confesses first loses, so they keep making plans to get the other to admit it.
The student council is as busy as ever. Chika Fujiwara, the cheerful secretary, keeps getting in the way of their plans without meaning to. Yu Ishigami, the gloomy treasurer, gets more time in the spotlight this season. Kaguya's maid, Ai Hayasaka, also helps her with her schemes, even when she does not want to.
Small things like birthdays, gifts and looking at the moon all become part of the love battle. Then the council's term comes to an end, and a new school election is on the way. A strict first year girl named Miko Iino, who wants everyone to follow the rules, becomes part of the story.
Like the first season, each episode is made of short stories. The season follows Kaguya and Miyuki as they get a little closer, while their pride still gets in the way.
