Synopsis
Ranking of Kings is a 2021 fantasy adventure anime with 23 episodes. It was made by Wit Studio and is based on the manga by Sosuke Toka. It is set in a fairy tale style world full of kingdoms, giants and monsters, where kings are ranked by their strength and wealth.
Bojji is the first prince of a large kingdom. His father, King Bosse, is a giant and one of the strongest kings in the world. But Bojji is very small and weak. He is also deaf and cannot speak, so he talks with people using sign language and gestures. Many people in the castle laugh at him behind his back and say he can never be king. Even so, Bojji is always kind and cheerful, and he dreams of becoming the greatest king of all.
One day, Bojji meets Kage, a small shadow creature who is the last member of his clan. Kage is the first person who truly understands what Bojji is trying to say. The two become close friends.
Then the old king becomes sick, and a question grows in the palace about who will rule next. Bojji's younger half-brother, Daida, is strong and smart, and many people want him on the throne. Bojji has to face the fact that most of the kingdom does not believe in him.
The series follows Bojji and Kage as they set out to help Bojji grow stronger, while plots and secrets inside the palace start to come to light.
