Synopsis
The Promised Neverland Season 2 is the 2021 second season of the dark fantasy thriller anime. It has 11 episodes and was made by the studio CloverWorks. It is based on the manga by Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu, but it later tells its own original story. It picks up right after the end of the first season.
Emma and Ray have escaped from Grace Field House with a group of other children. For the first time, they are outside the walls of the only home they ever knew. The world outside is a place where demons rule, and humans are seen as food.
The children have very little. They have a small map and a pen with hidden messages left by a mysterious man called William Minerva. They hope that if they follow his clues, they will find a safe place and other humans who can help them.
The forest outside is full of strange plants and dangerous animals. The children are soon attacked, and they have to split up. They are saved by two unexpected friends. These two teach them how to hunt, find food and survive in the wild.
With their help, the children set out again to follow William Minerva's trail. They hope his clues will lead them to a place where they can live in peace. The season follows Emma, Ray and the younger kids as they try to survive in the demon world and keep their promise to protect each other.
