Synopsis
Seraph of the End: Battle in Nagoya is the second season of the dark fantasy anime Seraph of the End. It aired in 2015 with 12 episodes and was made by Wit Studio. It is based on the manga by Takaya Kagami, Yamato Yamamoto and Daisuke Furuya. The story is set in a future Japan where a virus killed almost every adult, and vampires now rule over the humans who are left.
This season continues right after the first. Yuichiro Hyakuya is a young soldier in the Moon Demon Company, a special unit of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army. He fights vampires with a cursed weapon that holds a demon inside. His only goals are to protect his new squad and to save Mikaela, his childhood friend. Mika was turned into a vampire and now fights on the vampire side.
The army gives Yu's squad an important mission. They must travel to Nagoya and help kill a group of vampire nobles who are hiding in the city. Lieutenant Colonel Guren Ichinose leads the attack. Guren and the army's leaders also seem to have secret plans of their own.
At the same time, Mika wants to find Yu. He believes the humans are only using Yu, and he wants to take him away from them.
The season has large battles, blood and loss. It follows Yu as he tries to keep his friends alive while he learns that both sides may be hiding the truth.
